James B. Currie

Dr. Currie has joined Lakeview Clinic in Spring 2016. He has been practicing Internal Medicine since 1988 and Infectious Diseases since 1995. His most recent practice was in Randolph, Vermont. He completed his undergraduate studies in Zoology at Iowa State University and received his degree in Medicine from the University of Iowa. Dr. Currie then proceeded to the University of Cincinnati where he completed his Internal Medicine residency. He performed his fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois-Chicago/University of Chicago combined program.

Dr. Currie practices primary care Internal Medicine. He also practices Infectious Diseases with special interest in care of hepatitis C, chronic viral infections, wound infections and fever of unknown sources. Dr. Currie is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

In his spare time Dr. Currie enjoys reading, fishing, hiking, Tai Chi, and playing fiddle and guitar.
