Lakeview Clinic provides a wide range of imaging services including MRI, CT, 3-D Mammography, Bone Densitometry and X-ray. Whether you were referred internally by a Lakeview Clinic provider or from another provider outside of Lakeview Clinic, patients receive compassionate care coupled with high-quality imaging services.

Modalities Offered
CT
Lakeview Clinic offers state-of-the-art CT (Computed Tomography) services utilizing a Siemens 64 slice CT Scanner in our Waconia office. This equipment allows our professionally trained staff to perform a wide variety of examinations.
A CT exam is fast, painless and non-invasive. We use it to assess organs, blood vessels and bones. At Lakeview Clinic, we also perform Low Dose Cancer Screening Studies as well as Calcium Score exams. Calcium score exams are used as a screening tool to determine the amount of calcium plaque in the coronary arteries.
MRI
Lakeview Clinic offers state-of-the-art MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). MRI is a test that uses magnetic fields and radio frequency waves to make pictures of organs and structures inside your body. It helps your doctor diagnose an injury or disease, or to see if treatment is working. The procedure is non-invasive and painless. Sometimes an IV contrast may be put in your hand or arm to help enhance the images for certain types of exams.
MRI machines produce a loud knocking noise to take the best pictures of your anatomy. You will be offered headphones to help block out the noise and will remain in contact with the technologist throughout your exam.
3-D Digital Mammography
Lakeview Clinic offers state-of-the-art 3-D Digital Mammography. Mammography is one tool used for breast cancer screening. Lakeview Clinic also recommends monthly self-breast exams and regular visits to your doctor as additional tools for the early detection of breast cancer. Mammogram appointments can be scheduled online or by calling (952)442-4461.
Sonography – Ultrasound
Lakeview Clinic offers a wide array of ultrasound exams in our Waconia clinic. This provides added convenience for our patients and additional in house diagnostic resources for our medical providers.
Sonography or diagnostic ultrasound, creates images of organs, soft tissues, and blood vessels. It is used for obstetrics, abdominal issues such as gallbladder or kidney stones, finding blood clots, and much more.
Most ultrasound examinations are done using an ultrasound device outside your body, though some involve placing a small device inside your body.

X-ray
All Lakeview clinic sites offer general x-ray services. X-ray is a quick exam that creates pictures of the structures inside your body, often assessing injury or disease, using a small amount of radiation.
Bone Densitometry
Bone Mineral Density testing is a safe, simple and effective way to test for osteoporosis or thinning bones. The test is a touch-less scan that works similar to an x-ray. Lakeview Clinic’s DEXA scanner is primarily used to measure the bone density in your hip and spine.
