Combating a Tough Flu Season

Getting an annual flu shot is more important than ever and the best way to protect yourself.

Who should get a flu shot?

The CDC recommends everyone ages 6 months and older get a flu shot each year. If you have certain medical conditions including asthma, a weakened immune system, diabetes, chronic heart or lung disease, are pregnant or 65 years of age or older, it is especially important that you get vaccinated.

Do I have to be an existing patient?

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This annual campaign helps raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer and encourages women to learn how to conduct a breast self-exam, to get regular clinical breast exams and mammograms through your doctor.

Annual Mammograms

Mammography often can help detect a lump before it can be felt. At Lakeview Clinic, we offer 3D mammograms which can detect up to 40% more cancers than 2D mammograms, offer fewer false positives and are often more effective in women age 65 and older, according to research published in the journal Radiology. At Lakeview Clinic, we accept most insurances. If you are younger than 40, our doctors can help screen you for risk factors and potentially help you get an early mammogram.
